After a horrendous 2018 where Australia was hammered both home and away, the Kangaroos have recorded a splendid comeback to register an emphatic series victory. Despite being 0-2 down in the series, Australia produced valiant efforts to win three consecutive ODIs to thump India at home.
Skipper Aaron Finch was found in a jubilant mood as the mighty Australians were able to take down the second-ranked ODI team in the world. From a personal point of view, the 32-year old batsman had an average series but he fetched massive confidence ahead of the all-important World Cup event.
The flamboyant batsman revealed that he is immensely proud of the way his unit fought after being in a precarious situation. Furthermore, the Victoria born player is confident of taking the same intensity in the upcoming World Cup.
Sharing his views at the post-match presentation ceremony, the winning captain said, “It was an unbelievable effort. It would’ve been easy to roll over after being 0-2 down but the resilience and fight we showed makes it a great achievement. I’m proud of my group.”
