The head coach of Pakistan team, Mickey Arthur has revealed the reason behind the selection of rookie fast bowler, Mohammad Hasnain. According to the head coach, Hasnain “fills a hole we are looking for in the national team”.
The young fast bowler has grabbed the spotlight in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) since he is capable of bowling at an impressive 150km/h on a consistent basis. In the five matches he has played for the Gladiators, Hasnain has taken seven wickets at an average of 21.85.
"Inzamam-ul-Haq & I have watched a lot of the PSL & Hasnain fills a hole we are looking for in the national team. His pace is most impressive. He has all the potential but we are not going to rush him in, we will bring him slowly just like we did with Shaheen Afridi,” Mickey said.
Hasnain is well equipped with the art of slower deliveries and bouncers and is a wicket-taker for his skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed in the PSL.
