Magnificent scenes were witnessed during the first Qualifier between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi. Quetta Gladiators after giving the target of 187 runs to Peshawar Zalmi, came out bowling well with a subtle plan.
But the plan got spoiled brutally when Fawad Ahmed was injured after the ball hit his mouth. Quetta did not have many options to cope with the absence of Fawad Ahmed as he had to leave the field with just 1.2 overs bowled by him.
But as they say "Fortune favors the brave", and everything Sarfraz Ahmad touched with his captaincy decision turned to goal. Sarfraz Ahmad opted for Rilee Rossouw to cover the haul of Fawad Ahmed. Surprisingly, he got the wicket on his very first bowl and that too of Imam-ul-Haq.
It was not the end of the drama, Sarfraz then looked towards Ahsan Ali to come up and bowl and the rest was history. Liam Dawson lost his wicket to the worst ball he could have possibly played. Short of a length was there to be hit and Liam Dawson ended it up in the hands of the fielder.
