The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been a beacon of optimism and progress for the state of Pakistan cricket. Providing local talent the exposure to play with the greatest T20 stars in the business, and being a largely profitable venture, the PSL has been a resounding success across the 4 seasons.
Furthermore, the soundness with which the PSL encounters have been held in Pakistan this year and preceding seasons has paved the way for international cricket in the country. Reflecting on the massive numbers of people turning up to the National Stadium Karachi, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) MD Wasim Khan has relayed the message of PSL to the world.
“The fans are symbolic of the vibrancy & passion of the real Pakistan - they're the lifeblood of the game & they've turned up in their thousands to support their teams. There's no clearer message to the world to what the PSL & cricket means to the nation,” Wasim stated.
