Skillful English cricketer Chris Woakes had to pull himself out midway through the recently concluded tour of West Indies as the all-rounder suffered a knee problem. The Warwickshire born cricketer rued the fact that he got unfit right before the crucial World Cup event. However, he insisted that his recovery is moving into the right direction.
The 30-year old cricketer revealed that he is leaving no stone unturned to get 100% fit before the World Cup as he still regrets missing out on the Champions Trophy event. Furthermore, former Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer added that he wants to perform strongly and help his team grab their maiden 50-over major title.
“Obviously, the World Cup is just a couple of months away now and making sure I’m fully fit for that is all the motivation I need, but If I need extra, I only have to look back at the Champions Trophy a couple of years ago and getting injured in the first match,” said by efficient cricketer as he motivated himself to get fit before the mega-event in England.
