Peshawar Zalmi fast bowler, Wahab Riaz can get as intimidating and scary as it can get with his fierce bowling. In the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), he has cashed on this fear with his throat-slitting wicket celebration.
The all-time leading wicket-taker in PSL history has become synonymous with his moustache swirling and sword-slashing celebrations but it seems like it has not gone down well with his coach.
“My coach has told me to lay off this celebration style and, in fact, all the bowlers have been told to avoid excessive celebrations after taking a wicket,” Wahab said.
He further stated that he is now back to a clean-shaven look and has stopped that celebration because it may lead him to criticism and unnecessary controversies.
