Pakistan’s former captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who is representing Peshawar Zalmi in this year’s PSL, has suggested the value of experience in T20 cricket experience, especially when batsmen don’t get much time to settle at the crease.

The veteran batsman said that the young players need some time to gain exposure and in order to polish their skills, they should play more domestic cricket.

“We have batsmen like Kamran Akmal, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal who use their experience to play a long inning in short format of the game,” said Misbah.

Misbah, aged 44, proved his mettle in the shorter competition when he brought his wealth of experience into play as he rescued Peshawar Zalmi from 20/5 to secure a thrilling last-over victory over Lahore Qalandars with a vitally important 55-ball 59 not out.
