A solid performance from Australia in all departments against Pakistan in the 3rd game has allowed them to achieve their 6th ODI win on the trot and seal the ongoing series. Aaron Finch’s men were provided the impetus in the second innings by a superb spell from Pat Cummins that left Pakistan’s top order in tatters even before they could crawl their way to recovery.

The 25-year-old has been looked upon as Australia’s most prized asset in recent times, and he once again how sheer pace and nagging swing can create unplayable deliveries against batsmen. Even though the Abu Dhabi pitch was on the slower side and thus unhelpful for the faster bowlers, Cummins destroyed Pakistan’s hopes of putting up a fight in his opening spell.
He registered extraordinary figures of 3/23 in 8 overs including a maiden over, extending his tally of wickets to 15 scalps in the last 5 games. Cummins’ exquisite performance also saw him take home the man of the match award.
