The recent season of the highly celebrated Pakistan Super League (PSL) unearthed some fantastic bowling talents. While the pacers like Mohammad Hasnain, Haris Rauf and Muhammad Musa caught the headlines, teenage spin sensation Umer Khan wasn’t behind in proving his mettle against some quality batsmen.
Registering into the Karachi Kings squad as the 21st player, the spin wizard never looked back as he finished the tournament as the joint fourth-highest wicket-taker in the premier domestic T20 competition of Pakistan. Recently, the Rawalpindi born cricketer reflected on his superlative bowling displays as he revealed that the PSL was a game changer for him.
Moreover, the wily cricketer added that rubbing shoulders with foreign players allowed him to hone his skills to a degree that he considers himself ready for the International cricket.
“My aim is to continue the hard work in the upcoming Pakistan Cup and make a strong case for the inclusion in the World Cup. I feel that I am ready for the International cricket. Even if I don’t find a place in the team for the mega-event, I would look to impress selectors for the next year’s T20 World Cup,” said by the exciting talent.
