Coming into bat at 146-3, the 30-year old was bowled off a no-ball. The hard-hitting cricketer made Kings XI Punjab pay massively for their mistake as smashed the Punjab’s bowlers to give his team the much needed impetus by finishing the innings with flair.
The Jamaican cricketer smashed his way to a stunning 48 using just 17 balls. Doing so, Russell bludgeoned 3 fours and 5 sixes. The party didn’t end there as the flamboyant cricketer picked 2 crucial wickets with ball to dent the run-chase of Kings XI Punjab. Recognizing his all-round skills, Russell was rewarded with the player of the match award.
