Indian opening batsman KL Rahul emerged onto the scene during the Indian Premier League (IPL) some years back. The youngster has been a regular feature in the Indian outfit since 2016 and is likely to travel with the squad for World Cup this year.
In a recent interview, Rahul revealed that he is much happier at the Kings XI Punjab camp as he is the number 1 there and is not overshadowed any of the other players.
“2018 was magical for me as far as IPL is concerned. With a really good and balanced team, this year also should be good. At RCB I was under the shadow of Virat and AB de Villiers and here I am the number one and that has helped,” he added.
Rahul is keen on having a decent run in this season of the IPL in order to book a berth in the Indian squad flight for the World Cup this year.
