Another disappointing outing for the home team as they were easily vanquished over by the Kangaroos. Pakistan had a good start with the ball, giving tough time to the Australian top-order. But the perfunctory attitude in the field and magic from Glenn Maxwell helped Australia to migrate to a reasonable total of 266.
The horrors with the bat for Pakistan were on display yet again. Pat Cummins perpetuated his bowling form and ripped through Pakistan's top-order. Imam-ul-Haq and Shoaib Malik tried to steady the ship but it was not too late before Glenn Maxwell got rid of Imam. Contributions from Umar Akmal and Imad Wasim went in vain as Pakistan was bowled out for Just 186 runs.
Pakistan decided to test their bench strength before this series but the experiments seem to go horribly wrong so far. The batting problems are still haunting Pakistan and ordinary fielding is another point to ponder before the mega-event. On the other hand, Junaid Khan and Usman Khan Shinwari bowled well and showed that they are on target for the World Cup selection.
