The World Cup is merely two months away as teams are preparing to finalize their squads for the mega-tournament. While Pakistan has covered most of the spots for their WC squad, the perfect bowling combination is still being pondered upon.
Bowling coach Azhar Mahmood has claimed that two slots are still available to be filled for the World Cup, and the competition among them is down to the quartet of pacers currently battling in the ODI series versus Australia.
“There are still 2 bowling spots which are undecided. The options are Shinwari, Amir, Junaid, Abbas or Hasnain. We need to pick two of these guys so this is an opportunity for them to show their talent and make a spot for themselves in the World Cup squad,” Mahmood said in a recent press conference.
