Maxwell hopeful to carry winning momentum to World Cup

After thumping India in India, Australia has decimated Pakistan on the slow and low tracks of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Fans expected Pakistan to push a comeback in the third ODI of the series. However, lifeless displays coupled with erratic decision making to allow Australia to register their second consecutive ODI series victory.

All roads are leading to the World Cup event and Australia is no exception as the team returning to the winning track right before the mega-event is being recognized as an extremely positive sign by the belligerent all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.

The 30-year cricketer reflected on the series victory against Pakistan where he credited his teammates to bring their best game forward. Highlighting the significance of the recent victories, the gifted batsman shared that his team is peaking at the right time.

However, he urged his teammates to continue the good work and carry the winning momentum into the all-important tournament in England and Wales. Moreover, the return of Steve Smith and David Warner is further boosting the morale of the Victoria-born cricketer.
