The all-important World Cup event isn’t far away as all the teams are finalizing their squads to steal the thunder of the mega-event. Meanwhile, cricket pundits are busy sharing their insights regarding the preparations of different teams.
While Pakistan has performed poorly in the ongoing five-game ODI series against Australia, the right-arm pacer Mohammad Asif isn’t ready to write Pakistan off.
The 36-year old believes that containing fond memories of the Champions Trophy would massively boost the confidence of the boys in green.
Nevertheless, he warned the green shirts against teams like India and Australia who are known to raise the bar of their game in the big tournaments.
Sharing his views on the upcoming World event scheduled to be played in England and Wales, the proficient cricketer said, “Pakistan has a good chance to perform well in the World Cup, considering the fact that they won the Champions Trophy in England two years ago. However, they should be wary of teams like India and Australia, who are also shaping up well ahead of the mega-event.”
