Technology should be used more often than not: Faf du Plessis

After the no-ball incident in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, Twitter and social media erupted and raised questions about the credibility of figuring out no-balls. With 7 required off the last ball, Lasith Malinga managed to win the match for Mumbai Indians conceding just 1 run.

Later on, it turned out to be a no-ball which was not given by the umpire. It also invoked rage in the RCB captain Virat Kohli. South African skipper Faf du Plessis talked about this controversy and said, "Technology should be used much more often in cricket as so many front foot no-balls go un-noticed all the time in all formats and only checked on the dismissals".

Faf du Plessis suggested that the 3rd umpire should check on the front-foot and inform the umpire at the bowling end through an ear-piece. ICC should look to sort out the issue before the mega-event as umpires can't afford to make a single mistake in such an important tournament.
