After a magnificent century (102 from 55 balls) from Sanju Samson against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Twitterati praised him for his skill level and also showed an element of surprise over his non-selection in the national side.
Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian opening batsman, talked about the young talent and rated him as the best wicket-keeper batsman in India currently. India did try with Dinesh Karthik and Rishab Pant but Sanju Samson is still not considered for the selection.
Gautam Gambhir said, "Seeing Sanju Samson's skills I am glad to note that Sanju Samson is currently the best wicket-keeper batsman in India. For me, he should be batting at number 4 in the World Cup 2019."
Currently, Rishab Pant is on the World Cup plans of India for the mega-event as a backup wicket-keeper and he might as well bat up the order considering his power-hitting skills. But India might reconsider their plans if Sanju Samson continues to bat like this.
