Steve Smith’s and David Warner’s ban expired

A dark-day it was in Australian cricket history when Steve Smith, David Warner, and Cameron Bancroft were lent ban after a "Sandpaper gate" scandal in the 3rd Test match against South Africa in March 2018.

All these 3 players were found involved in the incident which caused mayhem in the Australian dressing room. After the investigation, these players were banned from the International and Domestic cricket in the last week of March 2018. David Warner and Steve Smith received a one-year suspension, whereas Cameron Bancroft was banned for 9 months.

on 28th March 2019, Steve Smith and David Warner became eligible to join the International side. Although David Warner and Steve Smith played for their respective IPL teams before the given date, they did not play in the series against Pakistan courtesy a ban.

Australian bowlers including Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Nathan Lyon reportedly refused to play with Warner and Smith in the 4th Test against South Africa after the controversy in the 3rd match.

In order to integrate the relations between the players, David Warner and Steve Smith joined the dressing room before the commencement of ODI series against Pakistan. Australia dearly wants the dressing room environment to be amiable before they go into the ICC World Cup 2019.
