Australian team returned to the winning track in an iconic manner as the Kangaroos raised the bar of their team to thump India and Pakistan at their home grounds. While the victories have boosted the morale of the team, it has also left the think tank with a headache as the return of the senior cricketers has spiced up the contest.
Australian skipper Aaron Finch didn’t shy away from admitting that finalizing the national team’s squad for the upcoming World Cup event in England and Wales is a tough task. The Victoria born cricketer added that the inclusion of the veteran cricketers like David Warner, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood would complicate the situation as the team has performed strongly in the recent past.
Sharing his views on the upcoming mega-event, the 32-year old said, “It is bloody hard and there’s going to be some very unlucky blokes out there. Steve (Steve Smith) and Davey (David Warner) are available for selection.”
“Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Jhye Richardson are all on track to be fit for the World Cup. The side is playing so well. So, it’s going to be difficult,” he further added.
