The Australian cricket team has created history by completing an ODI series whitewash against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time ever. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell played a critical role in the success of Aussies against the green shirts.
Maxwell’s batting has peaked at the right time for the Aussies as they would need him to fire in the World Cup as well. Head coach Justin Langer heaped immense praise on Maxwell as he has predicted a big future for him.
“At the moment, in 99 games, Maxi averages 32 or 33. He can be Virat Kohli. He has got the talent to do that. The way he played during that T20 hundred in India, the way he played both T20s - we know he's a great T20 player,” he said.
Langer has revealed that the all-rounder is putting in a lot of hard work in order to do justice to the talent that he possesses.
