Talented cricketer Usman Khawaja seems to be in the form of his life as he is piling heaps of runs ahead of the return of the veteran cricketers David Warner and Steve Smith. After humbling India in India, the top-order batsman continued his good form against Pakistan in the five-game ODI series at United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Carrying his good form, the 32-year old cricketer produced another special batting effort in the final ODI against Pakistan. An effective display of strokes coupled with good running was on display as Usman recorded his 10th half-century in his 30th ODI innings. Doing so, the Islamabad born also became the highest ODI run scorer in 2019 with 769 runs at 59.15.
While Usman was inching towards another delightful century, nervous nineties came back to haunt him as he missed another chance of registering a three-figure score. Nevertheless, his classy knock consisting of 98 runs saw him smashing 10 fours which allowed the Kangaroos to decimate Pakistan by recording a whitewash against the green shirts.
