In a much-awaited encounter between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab, the Capitals lost seven wickets for just eight runs to gift Punjab another victory in the season.
Delhi needed to chase 167 after a collective team effort by Kings XI Punjab gave them 166-9 in their 20 overs. David Miller (43) and Sarfaraz Khan (39) were the top scorers for Punjab.
In reply, the Delhi Capitals were cruising at 144 and they needed 39 off 26 balls. After that, it looked like a cakewalk when they needed 23 off 20 balls with Colin Ingram (38 off 29) still at the crease. But what followed was a terrible show from the guests.
It all started with a run-out and then Sam Curran was just too good for the upcoming batsmen. Curran took 4 wickets including a hat-trick in just 2.2 overs.
