Manu Sawhney, the entrepreneur from India, takes over ICC "Chief executive's" post. He replaced Dave Richardson, who completed his 7-years tenure. In January, International Cricket Council appointed him as the next chief executive but his job, with full authorities, was supposed to begin from July.
Until July, he was to work with Dave Richardson in tandem. But ICC has given him full charge with immediate effect after the transition went smoothly. Manu Sawhney highlighted that he is ready for the new job.
He said, " I am excited by the opportunities lying ahead and I am looking forward to working in partnership with our Members, partners, and staff to ambitiously accelerate the global growth of the game".
As he hails from India, his future terms with the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) can be envisaged as precarious but Pakistan Cricket Board will extend relations of peace and prosperity as it always does.
