Coming into the series against Pakistan with a lot of questions revolving around him, Australian skipper Aaron Finch produced his best. The belligerent batsman was able to amass 451 runs at a stunning average of 112.75. Doing so, he became the Australian batsman with most runs in a five-match ODI series.
The Victoria born cricketer was proud of his team’s effort as the bunch showed great character to record 8 consecutive ODI wins in Asia. From a personal point of view, Finch silenced many naysayers by smashing Pakistani bowlers to bag the player of the series award.
Reviewing his performances in the series, the 32-year old added that he is extremely happy to score consistently for his team as he failed to do so in the past.
“It was probably my most consistent (series) as a player, as a batter. I think if you look back through my career, there’s been times when I’ve got a couple of hundreds and there will be some really low scores in there as well,” said by the Melbourne Renegades player.
