Pakistan’s head coach, Mickey Arthur believes that the Australian team will be a threat at the World Cup, after seeing his side getting whitewashed in the five-match ODI series in the UAE. Australia has been on a roll at the moment, completely dominating Pakistan in every match.
Arthur, who coached Australia from 2011 until 2013, was thoroughly impressed with the commitment and performances that the Australian players have put in this series.
"I definitely think they are (capable of winning the World Cup). They're travelling really well. All the final jigsaw parts are coming together nicely. Australia look a very, very good side They will be a threat at the World Cup ... I think there's up to seven teams that can win the World Cup," Mickey said.
Captain Aaron Finch has also returned to form in emphatic fashion. He scored 451 runs at an average of 112.75 to set a new record for the most runs by an Australian in a bilateral five-match ODI series.
