Pakistan head coach, Mickey Arthur has revealed that all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez could potentially be fit in time for the limited overs tour of England, which begins on May 5. He underwent a follow-up surgery on his fractured thumb in Manchester earlier this week.
Pakistan’s veteran all-rounder, Hafeez, fractured his right thumb while attempting a catch of his own bowling in his second match of the Pakistan Super League where he was captaining the Lahore Qalandars.
“Hafeez had the plate taken out of his finger four days ago in the UK, we’re hoping he’ll be fit and ready to go for the start of the England tour,” Arthur said.
Arthur has set April 14 as the deadline for the players to prove their fitness and eligibility to fit into the World Cup squad.
