Mohammad Irfan, the tall paceman of Pakistan, has been a strong performer of the International circuit. However, fitness issues coupled with some controversies which saw him losing his spot in the national team.
Comprising of five provincial teams, Pakistan Cup is presenting a strong opportunity to Irfan and many other cricketers to grab all the attention and book their ticket for the mega-event which is scheduled to be played in England and Wales.
The 36-year old cricketer recently reviewed his chances of representing Pakistan again as he is extremely confident of doing well in the ongoing 50-over domestic tournament. The Gaggu Mandi born added that his focus lies on doing well and rest would be up to the selectors.
In addition to that, Irfan also reflected on the ODI series against Australia. While he was disappointed to see the national team losing 5-0, the dexterous cricketer backed the unit to comeback strongly against England.
“My job is to perform well and I am hopeful to get noticed by the selectors. I will give my best shot in the Pakistan Cup so that I can don the green jersey yet again,” said by the Multan Sultans quick.
