The most awaited event of sheer rivalry- The Ashes, will begin this summer in July. England will host this year's Ashes giving its natives a chance to enjoy tons of cricket in the coming summer.
With the conditions suitable for seam bowling, the fast bowlers will come into play big time. England's former player, Steve Harmison, talked about the veteran duo James Anderson and Stuart Broad. He feels that both experienced campaigners will give England an edge in the coming Ashes.
"England’s trump card with the ball will be James Anderson and Stuart Broad and they will be doing very little in the build-up to the Ashes," he added. Broad and Anderson won't be playing in the ICC World Cup 2019. This will provide them with enough rest before the Ashes kicks off.
The duo has taken 851 Tests wickets together. Individually, Anderson leads broad with 570 Test wickets whereas Stuart Broad has 433 scalps at his disposal.
