Ahmed Shehzad, who recently made a comeback to competitive cricket after his ban, has consistently been performing well with the bat. The right-hander was crucial for Quetta Gladiators in winning their maiden Pakistan Super League (PSL) title this year.
Though his selection in the national team still looks like a far-fetched idea, the flamboyant opener has continued to pile up runs in the domestic season. In the ongoing Pakistan Cup, the 27-year-old carried his PSL form into the tournament and struck a half-century against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This was his 35th List A half-century though he failed to capitalize on the start. Shehzad will be crucial for the Federal Areas team who look to defend their title under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan.
