New Zealand's all-rounder, Jimmy Neesham's career took a 360-degree turn around, from being thinking about retirement in 2017 to getting called up for the ICC World Cup 2019 squad.
Neesham did not lose hope throughout this journey and his recent performance in the white ball cricket made him the candidate for the ICC World Cup squad. "When I was the most driven and most motivated, I played my worst. Trying too hard isn't too helpful for me as a cricketer", Neesham said.
He also highlighted that he owes gratitude to Heath Mills (Ceo of New Zealand Players Association) for supporting him in difficult times and insisting him not to retire. This remarkable resurgence lent Jimmy Neesham an ideal chance to be a hero for his national side.
