Pakistan’s senior fast-bowler, Wahab Riaz has made it clear that he is determined to be part of the country’s squad for the World Cup next month. Though, unfortunately, he is not called up by the PCB for the 23-men fitness camp for the World Cup.
“It is my top priority to become part of the World Cup squad. There is no doubt that we have talented bowlers but it’s just down to who we pick and choose for this time and that is up to the selectors,” Wahab said.
Wahab was the third-highest wicket-taker in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he took 17 wickets in 13 games for the Peshawar Zalmi at an average of 19.88 and while he wasn’t selected for ODI series against Australia, he continues to perform well in the ongoing Pakistan Cup where he took figures of 5-52 off 10 overs against Federal Areas.
