Mohammad Hafeez, the seasoned campaigner, is one of those cricketers who are expected to bid farewell to ODI cricket after the conclusion of the upcoming World Cup. After sustaining a thumb injury during the last edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the dexterous all-rounder remained out of action for a long period.
However, the Lahore Qalandars skipper is expected to make it to the World Cup squad of Pakistan. Hafeez sits extremely hopeful of giving his best shot in the mega-event and help Pakistan bring the trophy home.
Sharing his views on the biggest 50-over cricketing festival, the 38-year old cricketer added that he is open to play any role that would be assigned to him. The Sargodha born added that he is a naturally an opening batsman who was pushed to 3 and even batted at 4 or 5 as per the need of the team.
Moreover, the proficient cricketer also highlighted his batting performances at various numbers and shared his ambitions regarding stealing the thunder of the World Cup which is going to commence from May 30 in England and Wales.
