All roads are currently leading to the World Cup as teams are gearing up to bring their best game forward and lift the prestigious title in England and Wales. In this regard, Pakistan has called 23 probables for a fitness test at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
After claiming the ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistani captain and wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is positive about gracing the country’s trophy cabinet with another 50-over title. Recently, the 31-year old disclosed his favorites for the semi-finals of the mega-event which includes Asian and Trans-Tasman rivals.
The dexterous batsman admitted the arduous challenge regarding the format of this year’s World Cup. But, he is hopeful to put up a great show in the mega-event which is to begin from May 30.
“I feel India, New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan will form the final four of the competition. The format isn’t easy by any means but we would look to give our best shot. I am confident about a strong Pakistan show in the World Cup,” said by the Karachi born.
