Andre Russell turned into a one-man army for Kolkata Knight Riders as the big West Indies all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 48 runs off just 13 balls as KKR overhauled the 206-run target with five balls to spare.
Leaving the fans and pundits in awe, Russell hit a staggering seven sixes in the match which took place at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium. Russell hit Marcus Stoinis for three consecutive sixes in the 18th over and then took on Tim Southee with figures reading 6-6-6-4-6 to leave the visitors needing just one run from the last over.
Thus far, Andre Russell has faced 77 balls in the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and among those, 22 were hit out of the park whereas 12 deliveries crossed the fence along the ground. Russell’s jaw-dropping batting left everyone in awe as they showered praise on the Carribean on social media.
