England to relax visa policy to attract global stars

The strict visa policy of England and Wales has always hindered the entry of some of the most exciting talents in world cricket as current laws only allow players from the 12 Test-playing nations who have played more than a specific number of international games in recent years to feature in the county circuit.

However, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is in talks with the government to get a revised visa policy for overseas players who are likely to feature in the upcoming ‘The Hundred’ tournament.

Players like Rashid Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane, Chris Lynn, and other have been deprived of the county experience up till now due to strict visa policy, but the relaxation in laws might open doors for all such players who are in great demand for franchise leagues.
