After getting humbled by Australia in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan will be featuring against England in a one-off T20I before a five-game ODI series. Including the tour games and World Cup warm-up matches into the equation, a total of 11 games will be there for the green shirts to get familiar with the conditions.
Pakistan once again would step into the World Cup with a sturdy pace attack. Same cannot be said regarding the spin department as the bunch is missing a specialist spinner. However, Pakistani captain and wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed believes that his team has got this angle covered.
The Karachi born said that if the conditions demand to field two spinners, Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan would be included in the final eleven. Highlighting the handy bowling abilities of Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Fakhar Zaman, the 31-year old added that the variety in the spin department of Pakistan is enough to test any batting line-up. The green shirts will commence their World Cup campaign on May 31 against West Indies at Nottingham.
