Few months ago, the horrendous displays of Australia moved many to write them off for the upcoming edition of the World Cup. However, stunning victories against India and Pakistan at their home grounds restored the stature of the Kangaroos to an extent that they are again being recognized as a major threat ahead of the mega-event.
The latest man to acknowledge the class of Aussies is none other than former Australian cricketer Ian Chappell who feels that the yellow jersey has showed great character to get back from a dark period.
The 75-year old was found admiring the recent resurgence as he shared that Australia has done enough to get among the favorites for the mega-event which is to be played in England and Wales.
However, the South Australia born advised the management to nurture the upcoming talent of the country and the cricketers to continue to work hard so that the renaissance against India and Pakistan won’t become an ephemeral event.
