Zimbabwe is all set to feature against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a four-game ODI series commencing from April 10. The home team has announced their squad where experienced campaigners Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza have been ruled out.
The wicket-keeper batsman pulled his hamstring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) while the opening batsman sustained a thumb injury. To cover their absence, authorities have roped in the services of the left-arm off-spinner Ainsley Ndlovu and all-rounder Tony Munyonga.
Both Taylor and Masakadza are reported to be close to regain full fitness but their non-appearance means that the vice-captain Peter Moor will be witnessed leading the side. The management is hopeful to have them back fully fit soon. While the two players are considered pivotal members of the squad but the 28-year old cricketer is positive about producing strong results.
