Kolkata Knight Riders have continued their supremacy in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the purple team delivered a clinical performance against Rajasthan Royals in an away game to capture the top position at the points table.
Winning the toss, KKR captain Dinesh Karthik decided to bowl first which proved to be a fantastic decision. The home team was restricted to a paltry total of 139 before KKR’s top three made a mockery of the chase.
Kolkata’s spin king Kuldeep Yadav proved a bit expensive but was pleased to see other bowlers turning up to counter Rajasthan’s batters. Reflecting on the victory, the 24-year old cricketer was found showering heaps of praise on his unit. The Kanpur born revealed that his team tries not to rely on the individual shows as team’s effort helps them perform consistently.
“Our team deserves the full credit as we’ve done a great job so far. Individuals cannot win you games all the time so it is extremely important to contribute as a team,” said by the sharp-witted spinner after the victory against Rajasthan Royals.
