Pakistan is in dire need of finding a quality batsman equipped with the explosive stroke play necessary for coping with the current needs of modern day cricket. Pakistan’s batting lineup is often found lacking the firepower to go big and maintain high levels of run rate, which is deemed as a cardinal sin in today’s cricketing era.
Amidst this backdrop, the rise of young left-hand batsman Khushdil Shah has been the need of the hour. Boasting exceptional power hitting skills and a career strike rate almost touching 100, Khushdil has the abilities to run riot over any bowling attack in the country.
The 24-year-old supreme batting talent has been on display in the ongoing Pakistan Cup, where he is thus far the highest run-scorer smashing at a strike rate of 136.52. Although not given a chance in this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL), Khushdil is easily the most prolific six-hitter in Pakistan cricket in the past few years.
