The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday has ordered the authorities to remove the name of tainted cricketer Nasir Jamshed from Exit Control List (ECL). Jamshed’s lawyer Ali Raza remained adamant that his client’s name had been unlawfully included in the ECL.
During the hearing, Deputy Attorney General told the court that Jamshed's name was placed on the ECL on the recommendation of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). However, there was no enquiry pending with the FIA hence his name was removed from the ECL.
The left-handed batsman was banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from cricket for 10 years in 2018 after he was found involved in a spot-fixing scandal during the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
