Rashid Khan named leading T20 cricketer

Afghanistan cricket team all-rounder Rashid Khan has improved a lot during the past few years and is becoming more mature in the game with every passing day.

The leg-spinner who was still a teenager at the start of 2018, not only maintained his phenomenal record in the shortest form of the game but he surpassed himself in many ways.

In doing so, he made the leap from prodigy to superstar. The top ranked T20 bowler in the world also remained in the top rankings in ODIs as well along with featuring in the maiden Test of team Afghanistan.

Rashid was one of the most desirable cricketer in league cricket last year as he made 61 appearances for 7 different team in 5 countries along with representing Afghanistan and World XI at Lord’s.

No player came close to his tally of 96 wickets last year, beating the previous T20 record for a calendar year which was held Dwayne Bravo who took 87 wickets in 72 matches two year ago. Rashid was also the 3rd highest wicket taker in T20s in 2017 as he took 80 wickets in 56 games.
