Mohammad Nabi aims to build on IPL experience

Making progress by leaps and bounds, Afghanistan’s team is all set to go big in the upcoming edition of the World Cup tournament which is to commence from May 30. Currently, three major Afghan stars Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are featuring in the running season of the glitzy Indian Premier League (IPL).

Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi feels that the high-pressure contests of the IPL are shaping the Afghan cricketers well for the mega-event.

The Logar born feels that Afghanistan carries a potent spin department as his stingy nature complements Rashid and Mujeeb’s wicket-taking abilities.

Moreover, the sharp-witted cricketer believes that Afghanistan has enough gas in their tank to trouble the top teams of the world.

“The IPL helps a lot. If you play these kind of pressure games right before the World Cup, it will help a lot in the tournament against top opposition. It is a white-ball format after all,” said by the 34-year old cricketer.
