The International Cricket Council (ICC) 2019 World Cup trophy has arrived in Pakistan, for a second time, ahead of the mega event in England and Wales. The captain Sarfaraz Ahmed got an honour to bring the trophy from Dubai to Islamabad.

The ongoing trophy tour is part of a private event and has no affiliation with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Speaking on the occasion, Sarfaraz was optimistic about the Men in Green’s title chances.

“We will try our best to win the World Cup and return home with the trophy,” said Sarfaraz who led Pakistan to their first Champions Trophy title in 2017.

The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is slated to be held from May 30 to July 14 in England this year while the much-awaited encounter of the tournament would be played between Pakistan and India on June 16th.
