Quetta Gladiators finally clinched their maiden Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in the recently concluded fourth edition. Led by the spirited Sarfaraz Ahmed, Quetta was also aided by the tremendous batting display from explosive opener Ahmed Shehzad.
The 27-year-old was at the peak of his abilities as he bludgeoned 4 fifties in the final 5 games of PSL 4, depicting his immense potential to punish various bowling attacks. Reflecting back on a glorious PSL campaign, Shehzad was asked about his favorite moments.
Taking a trip down memory lane, Shehzad lavished huge praise on his teammates Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz for their exuberant performances in the league.
He also related the animated discussion that took place in convincing Shane Watson to bowl the final over in the crucial playoff encounter Peshawar Zalmi. Watson ultimately delivered the last over and it resulted in a thrilling 10-run win for Quetta.
