IPL 2019

Delhi Capitals' Harshal Patel ruled out for rest of the season

Harshal Patel is an Indian first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed pace bowler and powerful lower-order hitter. Born in Sanand, Gujarat, Harshal moved to Haryana after being overlooked by his home state for the 2011-12 season. Harshal made Gujarat rue their decision by taking consecutive eight-wicket hauls for Haryana in the quarter-final and semi-final against Karnataka and Rajasthan respectively.

Harshal was a part of India’s squad for World T20 2010. In Indian Premier League, he was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011, and has stayed with them since.

Harshal Patel played a large portion of RCB’s matches in 2012 but missed out IPL 2013 (entirely) and 2014 (most of it). By IPL 2015 Harshal came back a cannier, more disciplined bowler and enjoyed a fruitful IPL season.

In the current season of IPL, he was picked up by Dehli Capitals, unfortunately, he is ruled out of the remainder of the IPL owing to a fracture in his right hand in the game against Kings XI (on April 1). “It took us two days to actually get to the bottom of that fracture.

He’s has had some X-Rays. He has been ruled out for three-four weeks which basically ruled him out of the tournament. We need to find a replacement.” Ponting said at the pre-match conference. Dehli Capitals has lost an amazing bowler for the ongoing tournament which is surely a hard hit for the team.
