A verbal war broke out between the umpires, players, social media, and the former cricketers after Mahendra Singh Dhoni lashed out on the on-field umpire when he took back his no-ball decision in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
It was the last over of the match when Rajasthan Royals required 18 runs to win. Ben Stokes got rid of MS Dhoni on the 2nd legal ball of the over.
On the very next ball, umpire retreated with his decision of height no-ball which infuriated MS Dhoni and he walked out on the field in the purse of justice, which was a very rare sight.
Cricket pundits felt that Dhoni should have avoided this act. Michael Vaughan, the former English batsman, said that you have to respect the umpire's decision as a captain and Dhoni set up a very bad example.
