The Queenslander, Marnus Labuschagne scored a magnificent century in the County Championship playing for Glamorgan against Northamptonshire. He scored 121 runs off 177 balls including 19 classy boundaries.
Labuschagne made debut against Pakistan in Test series at U.A.E last year. The right-handed batsman seeks form just at the right time with the Ashes lying ahead.
Although the focus of selectors of Cricket Australia is predominantly at the ICC World Cup 2019 squad at the moment, they have not kept their eyes away from the Ashes selection as well.
Marnus Labuschagne plays spin well and has the ability to bowl leg-spin as well which will attract the eyes of selectors. His performance in the County Championship will make him a strong candidate for the Ashes which will take place in July in England.
