Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant found himself in troubled waters after a recording of his stump mic conversation with the bowler during the season 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) went viral.
The youngster was telling the bowler that he would get hit for a 4 on the next ball which made several people believe that the keeper had been involved in some sort of fixing. However, there was no conclusive evidence, so Pant was not questioned by the officials.
When asked about the whole controversy, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed said that he could completely understand the reason why Pant had said that since a wicket-keeper has to tell a bowler where he might get hit on a specific delivery.
The Pakistani keeper said that there was nothing suspicious with the released video as Pant was informing the bowler regarding the bad spots he was bowling in.
