The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is scheduled to announce the final squad for the upcoming cricket World Cup on April 18th. All the 23 probable players have undergone fitness tests in Lahore while their results would be announced on the 17th of April.
Former Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been quite active on social media in recent times as he often gives his opinion of different developments in the game. Ajmal has now given his World Cup squad for Pakistan which he feels would be ideal for the tournament.
His 15-member squad includes Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Amir, Haris Sohail, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, Usman Shinwari, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Asif Ali.
The magician, Ajmal’s nickname from his playing days, went with the regular squad which is most likely to feature in the mega event while ignoring top-performers of domestic cricket like Umer Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad, Abid Ali, and others.
